I'm waiting for some simulations to finish... so I'm reading the news again...
This might not be the original source, nor is bad reporting... it's bad something though...
I had cancer treatment in a pub
OK, the bit that got me was...
I was standing outside with my mum and dad and was freezing. There was a pub right next to the hospital and one of the nurses said I should go in the pub because if you get a cold when you are on chemo, it knocks you for six.
IANAE but you clearly get a cold from actually being cold, as it's not a transmittable virus at all (?)
I'd have thought that cold virus to be more transmittable inside a nice warm enclosed pub than on the street outside... but hey.
Maybe being cold knocks you for six when you're on chemo and the nurse was misquoted?
