Once again not enough people turned up to make the pub quiz a viable option.
It doesn't help matters that people turn up at 9.35pm and wonder why the quiz isn't on... 'cause we've told the people at 9.30pm that there wasn't enough people there... now if everyone had been there at like 9.15pm then it might have happened...
The people who I was moaning about who just sat there ordering no drinks for over an hour managed to annoy me. Well, you know that they were joined by non-drinking people for an half-hour and then left? Well all four came back in about 45mins later and asked that seeing as they'd been told earlier that we'd stopped doing food that night, could they go and buy something from the takeaway and sit and eat it in the pub...
Needless to say the ploy of sending the most attractive of the group to ask me didn't work and they were told to get lost. Come on... the ploy's flawed, you're bloke's outside!
Then some locals came to play pool. They didn't want to buy any thing though - when I told them they'd have to buy drinks one of them bought a blackcurrent and water for the pricely sum of 30p, one of the others had a water and a bag of McCoy's (50p). This would be at about 9.00pm. With this they then stayed in the pub playing pool until 10.30pm and then sat down, stopping proper drink buying people from playing! What's more they gave me the evils when I took their not fully drunken half of water away at 10.50pm...!
