Ant's new DVD writer thing has started having issues with erasing CD-RWs. Instead of erasing them, it busts them, so any drives refuse to recognise them as discs.
Apparantly it may be because the table of contents on the disc has been bust.
Anyway, he searched the web and found that UV light may be used to wipe the discs, to try and make them look completly blank (like new). The page suggests using a EPROM programmer. But I didn't have one availble, instead I did have access to a 400W UV cannon...
Overkill? it's a definate possibility...
The UV also managed to show how minging the kitchen is, by making all the ming fluoresce, unfortunalty my camera doesn't pick it up - it would have been quite interesting (although a bit disgusting) to show you!
